Advent, Advent...

Our Advent Calendar is soon coming to an end, and we wouldn’t want to miss the chance to quickly look back and share our favorite memories with you.

Our journey started on the first of December with a red ribbon, with which we celebrated the World Aids Day. It didn’t stay the only International Day, as we also celebrated the International Day of Persons with Disabilities, the Human Rights Day, the International Mountain Day, the International Day of Neutrality and ended with the International Migrants Day. We learned many stunning facts, for example, that mountains are home to 15 % of the world’s population, that Eleanor Roosevelt was the Chairperson of the drafting committee of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, and that Turkmenistan took the initiative to establish an International Day of Neutrality to the United Nations General Assembly.

We also learned more about good causes and charities in our Advent Calendar. To the topics “The Environment”, “Women’s Causes” and “Switzerland” we took a closer look at a big variety of charities, such as The Coral Gardeners, The Pad Project and Zeta Movement to name a few. Personally, I couldn’t wait to adopt super coral!

We also looked back in our blog posts, which events took place during this semester. We summed up how you can flirt with the audience, reminisced about our One Day Simulation I, which took place in person and held our first social zoom event. For many of our Board members, it was the first time managing our webpage and writing a blog and we hope you enjoyed reading the different posts written from different voices.

We’re looking forward to keep on blogging about what’s new in our association!

With that said, don’t miss out on the three last days! Tomorrow we’ll learn one last time about good causes & charities. The day after, you can show off your newly gained knowledge in a short quiz, and last but not least, the 24this designated to celebrate the winner of our little quiz.

In case you decide to go off on a social media cleanse and miss the next 3 days, let us, the whole MUN Bern board, wish you Happy Holidays!

And maybe you may consider visiting our blog one last time in the old year to read about how we experienced the last year.
